● As part of the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Biomedical Informaticsand Information Technology (CBIIT), led team continuing work on theCancer Data Standards Registry and Repository (caDSR), an internationalISO11179 metadata management system for cancer research clinical trialsdata.● Resolved engineering problems holding back the release of new versions ofseveral caDSR tools.● Designed and led the development of a complete rewrite of the oldest ofthe caDSR tools, CDE Browser, using AngularJS and a web services layer.

• Led team delivering the AIMES video analytics server software to DOD, law enforcement and border security customers that incorporates advanced data mining, geospatial processing and an open API. AIMES supports real-time and forensic processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) of motion imagery and associated data.• Developed AIMES Mobile Android client supporting map-based exploitation of video metadata and video playback on mobile devices over WiFi, 4G cellular and military radio.• Managed and supervised team of software engineers to ensure responsive delivery of high quality server system.

• Maintained and extended Pathfinder, a widely deployed web-based intelligence analysis application. Over Pathfinder's more than 15 years of life, it has accumulated components in many relevant programming languages. Supporting Pathfinder means working with HTML, C, C++, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, Java, Swing, SQL, XML, sed and bash.• Assisted in the development of the Defense Cross-domain Analytic Capability (DCAC) system including Portal component and authentication integration using Oracle Access Manager. • Collaborated in the creation of a new GIS application, HUB, which leverages several Open Source projects including GeoServer, OpenLayers and the Grails framework resulting in an initial customer delivery within four months of project inception.• Assisted in the development of new features in Champion, a workflow management and data mining tool for military intelligence that includes sophisticated GIS and web services components.• Developed JSR 168 compliant Java Portlets on the Pathfinder Web Services for use in the GDIP Community Enterprise Portal (E-Portal). These portlets also form the basis of the Pathfinder's contribution to the DCGS-A Portal.

• Designed and developed new features, upgrades, and configuration tools for enterprise Internet applications in PHP, Perl and Java. • Led team of programmers on several version releases. • Worked with Project Managers and Product Marketing to design software enhancements. Built report, export, and search functions in PHP, MySQL, Perl, and XML. • Planned and managed critical database capacity amelioration project; executed ahead of schedule and under budget.
