(Seasonal, two weeks annually)After five years of volunteering I was offered a paid position to manage one high-profile venue for the 5-day music fest. -Managed high-profile client relationships during events, helped coordinate week-of logistics with dozens of SXSW departments (Showrun, Safety, Parking, Artist Relations, A/V, Photography, FF&E, Transportation, Security, City Compliance, Special Projects, Downtown Production, Equipment, Signage, Stage Management, etc.), FF&E vendors, corporate sponsorships, as well as artist's various management, production, and security teams. One day at SXSW could produce up to 11 bands at one venue, with a venue-turnover midday.-Clients included YouTube, Twitter, Cartoon Network, Guitar Center, DirecTV and worldwide artists such as Snoop Dogg, Sound Garden, Maggie Rogers, Future, Mumford & Sons, and dozens more of indie to major label status.-Acted as SXSW representative when City of Austin officials or the Fire Marshall arrived needing immediate access and questions answered. My venue often had additional personnel on standby for crowd control or materials delivery.-Trusted liaison with focus on brand image, client relations, and city ordinances compliance.
