CableLabs operates out of 3 facilities across 3 time zones.In my role as VP of Facilities and IT, I negotiated long term contracts for the offices and coordinated construction efforts and a move to a new location. I maintained close coordination of construction efforts to redesign and relocate a 2000 sq. ft. data center with efficient row-contained cooling and redundant power and systems. This relocation was performed with minimal downtime and no outside contractor support.Construction was completed just prior to the Marshall Fire that devastated the surrounding areas. I supported the cleanup efforts that were required at the office with zero downtime of all critical systems. My teams are also responsible for all physical and technology security with periodic security audits and assessments. This security posture is especially important in managing the PKI infrastructure with millions of long-life certificates deployed around the world.In my role as executive responsible for mid-tier member relationships, I coordinate, plan, and host three or more member symposiums throughout the year with guest speakers and various presenters and panelists. I visit operator member locations throughout the year and participate on industry panels to discuss topics of interest to the mid-tier members.

As the VP of Information Technology & Facilities I oversee the logistics for CableLabs. The company is a non-profit organization serving the innovation and research needs of the cable industry. The IT environment is robust and dynamic with labs and innovation efforts requiring physical, cloud, and network resources. As a technology executive, I support and enable CableLabs efforts to innovate for the cable industry and I evangelize those innovations with others technology executives within the cable industry. I work to continuously improve the company's posture in physical and information security.

In this role I am responsible for the strategy, go-to-market plans, and operational integrity for the company's strategic initiatives. The use of open-source hardware and software reduced expenses and supported the company's Agile development efforts. Open-source development and management tools were further used to exceed PCI requirements for PCI Level 1 certification. Through that effort I authored new policies and processes to ensure ongoing compliance. My organization introduced solutions that included enterprise cloud services for monitoring, management, and delivery of SaaS-oriented products and solutions. I supported the selection and integration of cross-functional business solutions including SalesForce®, ExactTarget®, SiteCatalyst®, and MicroStrategy®. My organization researched and developed the corporate international business strategy that included multi-national, multi-language social media marketing, value localization, in-country conferences, and client engagement. This effort required me and my team to travel abroad and manage the corporate marketing communication efforts that included integrated client surveys, customer segmentation, multi-channel media marketing, and automated email marketing to the company's registered clients. These efforts had a significant positive effect on client registrations. In this role I built the corporate intelligence teams for business, competitor, and market intelligence. The business intelligence efforts required my team to develop organization-wide KPIs and software for mobile-delivered interactive dashboards and via predictive sales forecasting dashboards. I supported the use of big-data capture and analysis solutions that included Cassandra and Hadoop for use in subsequent marketing and product development efforts. These effort led to the design and introduction of mobile and native web marketing solutions using big data.

Formulated international business strategy that included international social media marketing, localization, in-country conferences, and client engagement. Measured international sales improvement by region, country, and product language. Managed marketing efforts and technologies that included corporate positioning and branding, email marketing, Wordpress, application integration for web properties exceeding 10 million daily visitors and 5.4 million registered users.

Established monitoring standards within BMC, NetIQ, SMARTS, and Tripwire frameworks. Led initiatives for centralized syslog and security scanning that supported SOX compliance. Developed automated capacity planning reports using statistical regression.

Managed the IT Ops team for extended network components and servers to support highly efficient network tunneling technologies. Responsible for hardware configuration and asset tracking to meet distributed redundant operational needs in a highly secure environment.

Responsible for the production support of 20+ proprietary software packages and interfaces that handled $1.5 million per business hour. Managed a multi-tier 24x7 support team of 30+ individuals that handled proprietary order entry, warehouse management, and data warehouse systems.

Engineered HVAC, medical gas, plumbing, and piping systems for a 100,000 ft2 hospital addition. Two-month site survey and the development of dynamic Excel models tracking 50+ engineering components including pressures, temperatures, equipment, dimensions for over 500 hospital rooms.

Designed and developed a financial auditing child support system using the IEF case tool, COBOL, and a DB2 database. Worked closely with government employees to design an accounting system that managed the receipt and distribution of funds among more than 5 different local, state, and federal agencies based upon complex federal and state governmental guidelines.
