I am an experienced medical affairs leader focused on value and access/managed care related strategy and solutions. The MSL teams I have been a part of successfully engaged payers and HCPs/population health decision makers to inform around value, patient access related decisions and to assist commercial colleagues in achieving market access goals. These teams have a long track record of moving the business forward through tangible impact via improving product accessibility for patients, clinical differentiation and establishing noteworthy research/collaborations/partnerships. I got my start as a clinical oncology pharmacist at University of Louisville concentrating primarily on stem cell transplant, I moved on to lead the oncology pharmacy/P&T strategy at Humana, a national payer. I have spent the majority of the last 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry as both a national/regional leader as well as an individual contributor for managed care MSL field teams--at both Amgen and Novartis. I am currently a Market Access consultant with Syneos Health. My experiences provide me with a well-rounded understanding of the US healthcare system particularly related to the oncology landscape, patient access and clinical/economic value dissemination. I pride myself on maintaining my clinical expertise (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) as an executive leader that is still capable of contributing to the in-depth clinical conversation during field facing engagements and internal strategy planning. I believe my experience on both sides of the formulary decision making table helps me better understand the managed care customer priorities, what data resonates effectively and which insights are actionable--while also maintaining realistic expectations. My objective is to provide leadership, high science and strategic innovation in a MSL, market access and/or managed care related setting that benefits from my clinical hematology/oncology, formulary decision maker and pharmaceutical industry background while also embracing a patients first philosophy and expanding on my team's current skill sets through continued learning, coaching and professional development.
