In 2018, I traveled overseas to work with an extreme animal rescue team. In 2019, I returned to the United States and am available to assist private, public, and non-profit entities with their government affairs, public policy, and public affairs needs.

E2Tech (Environmental & Energy Technology Council of Maine) is a non-profit trade association comprised of over 240 member businesses and organizations that seek to build and expand the State’s environmental and energy technology sectors.E2Tech participates in activities to promote business development and sustainable job growth, research and development, new product commercialization, clean tech cluster initiatives and supply chain development.Its members include a broad range of environmental, energy and clean technology businesses, as well as educational institutions, non-profit businesses and organizations, and governmental agencies.

Advise the Governor on energy and climate change policy issues.Draft legislation, Executive Orders and position papers on energy and climate change.Create and present testimony to Maine State Legislature on energy and climate change issues.Design and revise the State’s Comprehensive Energy Plan and related studies.Represent Governor before local, state, regional, federal and international groups regarding energy and climate change policy.Assist Maine businesses, associations, non-profits, local governments and other organizations interpret federal and state government actions, overcome challenges and capture opportunities related to energy, climate change and environmental policies and programs.Build and foster coalitions and working groups of businesses, non-profits and other organizations.

Manage energy and EHS advocacy on behalf of Fortune 50 company and its diverse business units.Function as primary corporate political contact and work with businesses, trade associations and coalitions to communicate policy positions to Congress, federal agencies and the White House.Prepare and lead successful legislative, regulatory and programmatic strategies on high-performance and sustainable buildings, climate change, renewable and alternative energy, energy efficiency, technology development and deployment, and EHS regulations.Serve on steering committees, coalitions and boards of directors to shape public policy including Alliance to Save Energy, Chamber of Commerce, National Energy Resources Organization; International Climate Change Partnership, Business Environmental Leadership Council, and Business Roundtable.Advise business units on federal, state and international government activities that affect their operations and products.

Developed official policy positions and advocated on a range of clean air, climate change, energy and environmental issues on behalf of large, mid-sized and small member companies and their trade associations.Managed environmental coalitions and led committees and task forces consisting of businesses, associations and other groups representing all industry sectors.Prepared news releases, issue briefs, public comments, talking points and testimony in order to state the NAM’s policy positions to Congress, the White House, media and the public.Created, edited and wrote monthly newsletter, Clearing the Air.Coordinated key vote campaigns in Senate and House of Representatives.Spoke and presented at conferences, roundtables and panels.Assisted the legal department with litigation activities on energy and environmental cases.
