Overseeing implementation of the Sequel Eclipse Broking and Underwriting systems throughout the Group and responsible for Business Application support.Retired - April 2014.

Originally employed as IT Director by Harris & Dixon Insurance Brokers, implementing a new Lloyd's broking system on AS/400 technologyH&D were bought by the BMS Group in 1997. Between then and 2001 I was H&D Servicing Director, responsible for all back-office servicing,. I then headed up the newly-formed Group Communications, Marketing and Information team. I oversaw the redevelopment of our website, design and implementation of our intranet (BMS Today), Group rebranding and a wide range of marketing, informaton sharing and knowledge initiatives. From 2005 - 2007 I project managed the relocation from our Latham House to One America Square offices, which thankfully met with universal praise, delivering on time and within budget. Up until the end of 2008 I ran a number of ad hoc projects, acting really as the Group's "trouble-shooter", and hopefully seen as "a safe pair of hands".I also had overall responsibility for Group business continuity planning and was Chairman of the Phoenix (ex ICM) Business Continuity User Group. From the start of 2009 I resumed my role as Group Marketing and Communications Director.

Provided IT consultancy services within the London insurance market. For the majority of this time I worked on contract for EPG Computer Services Ltd, assisting them in the redesign and development of their Lloyd's insurance broking package.

Initially head-hunted as Assistant DPM but promoted to DPM within a year. Successfully implemented new Lloyd's Broking System provided by EPG running on IBM S/38. Left HC when they were taken over by HSBC and merged with Gibbs Sage.

Started as Trainee Computer Operator and took traditional IT career path through programmer, systems analyst, systems designer and ultimately Project Leader, all of this time working on IBM mainframes, before being head-hunted by Hartley Cooper.
