At a franchise store of the Danish furniture brand BoConcept I was responsible for maintaining the company’s style and image in all print and digital promotional materials. I also marketed the store though various social media outlets. The Plus Store was a new branch of the franchise that I helped to develop and promote.

I helped students orient themselves in their new city, Granada, by planning and coordinating various events and activities, organizing a language exchange program, and editing a monthly student magazine. Other responsibilities included helping students with housing and health issues, as well as being the center’s Moodle (online learning platform) administrator and educator.

The UIMP runs a weeklong intensive English language program for university students. I led conversation in English with 15 Spanish students weekly over a wide variety of topics. I was responsible for running activities such as icebreakers, a guided city tour, a guided tour of the Alhambra, interactive games, and a tapas route — all in English.

I created a 100-page publicity book — from initial proposal to the Board of Directors to final photography and design — highlighting the University of Granada and its vibrant cultural landscape. Because of the success of the book, I was asked to come back after I graduated college. During the Fall of 2007, I worked as a graphic design and photography intern responsible for redesigning the UGR Campus Magazine and for taking photos of university events, university life, and the city of Granada.

After an IES semester abroad in Granada, Spain, I was given the opportunity to work in the marketing department and was responsible for designing various advertisements, internal publications, and posters.

During my final semester at Loyola University, I was chosen to intern at The Chicago Tribune in the features department. I worked with several production teams to develop and create covers and other graphics within the features sections — reaching hundreds of thousands of readers in the Chicago metro area.
