Newspapers dubbed TPPF "the official think tank of the Republican Party of Texas" toward the end of my tenure, reflecting the fact that every statewide elected official considered TPPF a valuable source of ideas and a positive influence on the state. (TPPF is a free-market think tank, not a partisan Republican think tank). As part of these efforts, I also worked closely with public interest law firms to achieve desired outcomes.
