Jeff is an entrepreneurial software engineer and game producer with 15 years of software development experience ranging from Java, Dart, and C# to administering SCM, CI, and issue tracking tools like Git, Jenkins, and JIRA. His career spans national defense for Lockheed Martin, low-latency, high-frequency trading compliance for NASDAQ, big data heuristic based automated home appraisals for Equifax, full-stack dev providing training content delivery for Toyota, and an iOS and Android experimental game with Numinous Games. After that he co-founded PxlPug, a game studio focused on using games as a catalyst for connecting people to community and meaningful moments. These environments have varied from waterfall teams of 150 down to scrum teams of 6 and solo dev. He draws upon this wide range of experience to optimize team dynamics and processes in each new environment. Most recently he architected and developed a Flutter based inventory and operations mobile app from the ground up as CTO of Pick Me Up, a chain of retail soft drink stores. Outside of direct work activities Jeff serves as a board member of Games for Love, a non-profit organization that leverages the gaming community to provide medical supplies and ease the suffering of children (4+ million impacted). He also co-founded a game studio and fosters its online Discord community where 200+ developers network and support each other. Regularly he is a guest speaker about the game industry at Colorado State University and enjoys opportunities to share knowledge and experience. This includes public speaking as well as offering consultation to estimate cost and complexity for businesses exploring software solutions.The passion that drives him is in gathering all his skills in software and design to create digital tools and experiences that leave an imprint on the user; delivering them something of substantial value.
