In its earlier years, JP&A, Inc. was a management consulting firm providing meeting facilitation, new product development services, and training in problem solving, creativity, and decision making. In later years, it provided consulting, training, and sales in the expert systems area of artificial intelligence. Designed and led workshops in the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Conceptualized, designed and developed an innovative voice response system for Microsoft, chosen for an article entitled "25 Hot Voice Response Applications" which appeared in Voice Processing Magazine in May 1992. Designed, scripted, programmed, managed and/or implemented more than 30 other sophisticated computerized telephone interactive voice response systems. Wrote or co-developed many successful sales proposals. Co-developed an integrated marketing strategy including a demonstration voice response system and direct mail campaign.
