Jeff Plaisance is a Control Systems Designer with many years of work experience in grass roots, retrofit and upgrade instrumentation, control systems and electrical systems in upstream, midstream and downstream projects. These projects consist of heavy industrial, skid mounted and marine and offshore facilities with compression, pump station, terminal distribution, pipeline and transport loading in the petrochemical, chemical and cryogenic industries. This has been accomplished using:• Excellent skills in organization and standardization and thorough knowledge of instrumentation, drafting standards and dimensioning.• Developing supporting documents to develop a fully detailed and deliverable engineering package. • Working with little to no supervision with the ability to assign less complex design work and provide technical assistance to less experienced designers and drafters.• Preparing and assigning tasks for Workshare (other Engineering offices in India, Canada or Mexico) and checking the returned work packages.• Meeting aggressively scheduled deadlines and assisting other designers to meet their deadlines.• Proficient skills with 2D or 3D modeling in AutoCAD, document control in proprietary databases, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) wiring and loops, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word).
