Founded, developed, and directed The Dream Flag Project--interschool collaborative poetry project for students in K-12. Grew from 60 participants at Agnes Irwin School in 2003 to a total more than 100,000 student participants in 42 states and 25 countries by 2014. See www.dreamflags.org and www.facebook.com/dreamflags• Created concept, curriculum materials, web site, print materials, registration process, database.• Supported up to 1,000+ teachers; maintained relationships with 300+ participant schools.• Oversaw and organized online and live teacher workshops, annual multi-school celebration at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, and National Constitution Center, annual exhibitions at area hospitals, libraries, Philadelphia City Hall, and other public venues.• Developed and maintained student-to-student and teacher-to-teacher connections using Skype, GoToWebinar, AdobeConnect, Wiki ,Ning, Blog, and The Dream Flag Project website.• Travelled to Nepal for Dream Flags participation in international celebration; developed Sherpa curriculum content and blogged event with followers in five continents. English Teacher Grades 6, 7, 8, 10Taught English literature, writing and grammar to students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 10Samples of project-based and experiential curriculum development: • On-site reader’s theater from Fever 1793 at historical sites in Philadelphia. • Whole-grade immigrant simulation experience while reading The Bread Giver by Anzia Yezierska. • Creation of 26-foot story tapestry in connection with reading of The Ramsay Scallop. • Poetry/Text/Spiritual performances for Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. Samples of technology-supported curriculum development: • Live on-line poetry classes with sixth graders at Hockaday School in Dallas using GoToWebinar. • Discussion boards including SSR book discussions across all sixth grade sections. • Development of collaborative web Wicki for review of Jane Eyre. • Extensive use of Google Docs for writing, peer review, collaborative students work, and assessment.

Supported and co-developed curriculum technology projects with teachers in all disciplines for grades 5-11. Helped develop and coordinate K-12 curriculum. Led staff workshops. Developed on-line support system. Samples of work: • Collaborative environmental science web site integrating biology, physics, and chemistry.• Visual compare and contrast essay web pages for A Tale of Two Cities. • French language picture discussion sites.

Developed and taught two-week full-time summer workshop for K-12 teachers with focus on developing integrated technology-supported curricular units. Developed pedagogical framework and presented at ISTE Conference.

Developed web-based curricula for existing museum and public-interest programs. Clients: Rosenbach Museum & Library, Please Touch Museum, University of Pennsylvania Annenberg Public Policy CenterProject example: • Produced six-week web-based curriculum materials distributed to 20 cities for Student Voices political empowerment program for urban high school students.

Taught history in grades 7-12. Co-taught in collaboration with English teachers for interdisciplinary humanities courses. Taught specialized history electives in grades 11 and 12. Led development of project-based curricular units and technology integrations. Developed and taught web integration strategies and skills to faculty through in-service presentations. Developed and taught week-long summer workshops for teachers from Philadelphia region with focus on web site building and technology integration.

Taught English, history and math in grades 6-8. Classroom teacher in kindergarten and grades 1-2.

Taught English and history courses. Initiated and developed interdisciplinary units between English and history. Created on-going interdisciplinary and multi-genre curricular web project on the Holocaust. Served as middle school technology coordinator. Dissolved existing technology course and integrated technology course content into subject courses. Assisted in capital fund raising for and design of new middle school technology center.

Created and taught student-centered interdisciplinary course units in English and social studies. Conducted comparative study of independent school curriculum structures.

Taught English reading and conversation courses to freshman and sophomore students. Initiated English language teachers program between University of Pennsylvania and Jiao Tong University.
