Driven innovator who thrives on creative program development and connecting people who share core values. From my first teaching job in Shanghai in the 1980’s, to my most recent work creating the global Dreamline Program, my career path has been about challenging boundaries and expanding the horizons of hope. The Philadelphia based global Dreamline Program empowers students to discover meaning in the fabric of their dreams, to weave these insights into their lives by creating unique and impactful works of art, and to pass this strength forward in a movement that improves the lives of everyone around the globe through its deep connection with the United Nations’ Global Goals. My work connecting students through shared dreams while working as a full-time teacher, reached more than 100,000 students and led to my creation of the nonprofit Cloud Cloth Education in 2016, the development of its Dreamline Program, and creation of the Dreamline World mobile app for iPhone and Android all in the same year. To date, my work with empowerment and dreams has directly impacted students, teachers, and communities across 37 countries and 42 states of the USA. A 30-year veteran educator, my deep understanding of children and schools has informed my work creating programming that is supported by, not driven by, technical innovation. I have developed online curriculum for organizations such as The Annenberg Center for Public Policy and The Please Touch Museum. I launched a first-of-its kind start-up for online homework, scheduling, and communication. I have had the chance to pioneer the use of technology integrations in teaching, and to lead hundreds of educators to do the same.Presentations include the International Society for Technology in Education, the International Education and Resource Network, the International Reading Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the National Association of Independent Schools.
