Working to solve some of the biggest problems in patient care. From underserved communities to deficiencies in clinical practice, my goal is to create better outcomes. I am currently leading the commercialization team for AIRO, the world’s smallest portable airway suction device. Historically, medics have suffered a tragedy of omission due to the size and weight of existing devices, keeping suction out of 75% of patient encounters requiring advanced airway management. AIRO drastically reduces Hypopharyngeal Oxygen Concentration (HOC) depletion during prolonged suctioning. With the growing popularity of SALAD, this technology improvement is critically needed to promote resuscitation efforts. On the board of CRO Medical, my focus is on Damage Control Resuscitation at the point of injury. It has been said that, “he who wants to be a surgeon should join an army and follow it.” Our team has secured multiple program of record medical equipment contracts with the Department of Defense and has a robust research and development arm, tackling issues facing forward resuscitative care. In 2017, I had the opportunity to lead the commercialization of POLYSERP Antivenoms, a 3rd generation, freeze-dried unrefrigerated polyvalent snake antivenom for Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. POLYSERP covers 25 species of medical importance and is the only single-source treatment option available in these regions, making it a crucial resource for this CAT A neglected tropical disease. Before my leadership roles in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, I served during the Operation Inherent Resolve campaign, earning a Combat Action Ribbon as a Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman with Marine Special Operations Command.
