Jeffrey A. Carr has been on the faculty of the New York University Stern School of Business for 24 years. He was awarded the NYU Stern School of Business Teaching Excellence Award in 2011 and named MBA Professor of the Year in 2012. He teaches approximately 600 students each year in the MBA, Undergraduate and EMBA programs in courses including strategic marketing, international marketing, marketing management, entrepreneurship and the business of fashion. He was the Executive Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies from 20007-2012 and is currently Director of NYU Stern Fashion & Luxury Lab.

The central hub of academic and co-curricular activities in the fashion and luxury space at NYU Stern, building and growing connections between students, faculty and the fashion and luxury industries. Programs include: identifying and developing guest speakers and class projects/live cases for Stern fashion course; managing internships and student projects; helping MBA and undergraduate student clubs with their annual Fashion and Luxury Conferences; mentoring student start-up ventures.

Jeffrey Carr, president of Marketing Foundations Inc is an entrepreneur and marketing consultant with clients worldwide in the manufacturing and service industries. Consulting and lecturing extensively in the Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S., he has completed consulting projects and delivered executive development programs for Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, General Electric, Pfizer, Kodak, Time Inc., and Unilever, among others. As part of his social entrepreneurship activities Professor Carr is involved in a United Nations-sponsored program to help developing countries create more effective budgeting strategies and implementation plans for their healthcare initiatives and regularly consults with non-profit organizations regarding their strategic planning.

The Berkley Center’s mission is to be a leader in research, education and programs that promote and support the successful creation of sustainable start-up and early stage ventures by our students, alumni and faculty. Programs included: The Entrepreneurs Challenge: Annual New Venture Competition, Social Venture Competition and Tech Venture competition for NYU students, alumni, faculty and staff, attracting 450 students and 225 entries: NYU Stern Venture Mentor Network with over 60 mentors providing individualized coaching and mentoring to the NYU entrepreneurship community.
