I am a New York state licensed acupuncturist who spent 6 years in China and received my degree in Chinese Medicine from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In my previous life, I obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. I also have over 20 years of experience in various martial arts systems as well as 15 years of experience in meditation and qi gong. My approach to medicine is this: use the right tool for the right job. Not all treatments should be the same. Some illnesses respond better to acupuncture, some to herbal medicine, and yet others to meditation or functional movement training. Finding the right proportion of each is crucial towards a successful and long lasting resolution.I have been in private practice for the past 6 years and have gained invaluable experience in the clinic. It has affirmed my conviction that there is a place for natural healing in today's society, and arguably more so than ever before.
