The emphasis was on how apps would work across different device types. My partner companies ranged from finance, travel, lifestyle and retail, to health and fitness. I enabled them to take advantage of Samsung's ecosystem to offer enhanced services and products. In Wearables, I initially focused on a wide variety of apps, but eventually focused mainly on health and fitness. I became deeply connected with the fitness industry, ranging from fitness technology companies to clubs. My aim was to bridge the data gap from home fitness to full quantification of workouts in clubs using wearables. I brought multiple technology components from various partners together to complete a system. I also worked with services around Wearables telemetry that involved biometrics and detection of stress and fatigue for heavy industry safety applications.As part of my heavy involvement in Samsung's Developer Conference, I coordinated with multiple groups within Samsung to pull together a Smart Home and IoT panel discussion. To work around logjams and get applications developed on Nokia's Symbian platform, I bypassed app bottlenecks with creative concepts. In parallel, I supported Imaging, Productivity and Enterprise applications. I developed an extensive knowledge of Apple's ecosystem, and added Imaging as a specialty, based on my outside expertise in the area. For the Nokia sponsorship of the 2011 Cinequest Film Festival. I planned and moderated a panel discussion with filmmakers and a variety of app developers, both in imaging and B2B.I concepted from scratch, designed and outsourced development of award-winning ShutterPro and VideoPro applications. These applications were different from anything on iPhone at the time with a plug-in architecture to significantly extend application functionality. At the same time, I designed an expense management app designed for SAP, QuickBooks, PeachTree and a future Oracle plug-in to interface with backend systems.My activities included working with big-box accounts, evaluating markets, and looking for joint-marketing opportunities and other possibilities. -
