In my years as a Police Officer I have been assigned to several specialties including bicycle patrol, field training officer, gang intelligence officer, and most recently the criminal investigations division. During my yearly in-service classes over the past 12 years I have taken mostly investigation oriented classes. I have recently gone to classes related to mobile device investigations and have been assigned as the departments only Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator. In July 2013 I attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Mobile Device Investigations Program.

I had the opportunity to design and build a one of a kind education based field training curriculum. From structure design to the technical writing of a field training manual, to becoming a super user of proprietary software in order to build out the day to day operational components; this was the challenge. Once the program was completed I trained a select group of field training officers to teach and later evaluate trainees. During the next year and a half I managed the program, made small changes as needed and evaluated the execution of the program, which had a 100% success rate. I completed all of this while also assigned to a patrol team, working a beat. Once the program was operational smoothly I trained my successor and retired after 22 years of police service. -
