This position provides significant flexibility in updating current learning processes in order to meet the different demands of various teams, and as such, I have gained excellent competency in creating, updating and positioning training programs to meet the exact needs of program participants. In order to ensure that training met the changing needs of the participants as well as Air Force standards, it was very important to gain a strong indication of the success of the programs. As such, I developed and implemented assessment tools to better track and evaluate the effectiveness of training activities, as well as gauge the overall satisfaction of program participants. The feedback I received was integral in updating course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness, relevance, and adequacy of programs. Additionally, I relied on surveys responses to improve Education and Training plans, as well as my job performance. As I continued in the role, my duties expanded, and I realized how important additional education would be to my own professional growth. As my formal education increased, so did my credibility within the Air Force, and as such, I became a subject matter expert with regard to training recommendations, measurement tools, budgeting considerations, curriculum development and future needs. I remember distinctly wanting to make a difference and serve my country. I also have always been impressed by the training opportunities that were available in the US Air Force, and knew that I could gain exceptional skills, right out of high school, while attending courses on a part-time basis.In my role as an Electronic Warfare Team Leader, I gained impressive skills in many areas, and the experiences I had will be with me for the rest of my life. This training helped mold me into the person I am now, and gave me the confidence to apply myself in areas that required discipline, a clear head, and excellent decision-making skills. Overall, my role encompassed the analysis of operational performance and tests to ensure proper working of high-level avionics test equipment, special equipment, and aircraft components. This equipment testing was put in place to identify and correct malfunctions of radars, sensors, communications, weapons control, electronic warfare, and flight control and engine control systems. As this position involved a high degree of technical competence, I quickly became an expert at tracing logic, schematic, test flow, and wiring diagrams to determine root-cause analysis, as well as determine the scope of repair and adjustment required. The quality level of these components could not be under-estimated as the level of quality assurance greatly determined the ultimate safety of troops. I ensured that I conducted complete inspections of equipment, as well learned the intricacies of the equipment components. I became the go-to person with regard to diagnostics and repairs using hand tools, soldering devices, and electronic instruments, and applied this knowledge to train others on ensuring optimum equipment functionality.
