Develop and teach training materials used by the Louisiana Transportation Research Center, jointly sponsored by LSU and the Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOTD). Responsible for leading project teams to achieve goals in support of Louisiana, Texas, and Florida recovery efforts from presidentially declared disasters. Accountable to Aptim's management and to the client's management for the Aptim teams performance on projects. Responsible for all matters pertaining to the projects and the execution of the projects in accordance with contracts and the project's HSSE, quality, quantities, schedule and financial goals. Bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of the projects, responsible for all deliverables of the work produced and accountable to Aptim management and to the client for the project team's performance. Intimately familiar with and manages work to six baseline documents: Contract, Scope of Work, Execution Plan, Schedule, Estimate, and Risk Management Plan. Primary functions include complying with Aptim's business & legal policies, managing client expectations, protecting the Company from unnecessary risks, managing resources for the project, providing leadership, and serving as a focal point for client communication. Responsible for project pricing and forecasting as well as participation in the sales process by providing project management leadership during the pre-contract effort. Additional responsibilities include a complete understanding of the Contract and the "as-sold" scope of work and communicating them to the project team; and the establishment and communication of project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy. Work closely with the client, Aptim management, and project leads and provides direction and coordination of all project team members. Prepare and organize background review of the project, the work plan, and the field team. Coordinates for site access and activities with appropriate officials.
