Project Engineer
CurrentResponsible for the on-time delivery of engineering design information required for the production of tourist and business class commercial aircraft passenger seats.Ensures that the design expectations of all stakeholders are met by coordinating the input from the airline customer/operator, the aircraft OEM (e.g. Boeing and Airbus) and B/E internal functions (e.g. Program Management, Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering).Provides direction to and approve the work of Design Engineers, both internal to B/E and those of external outsource partners, in the preparation of CAD models, detail and assembly drawings and bills of material.Provides direction to the Engineering Development Lab in the preparation of prototype seats for use in design reviews with the customer and of fully conformed seats for dynamic and static certification tests. Prepares higher-level documents including seat envelope drawings and bills of material. Presents and explains product prototypes to the customer.
