He conducted detailed technology and market studies on gasification, Obama energy plan, electric grid and wind turbine integration. Provided business development and technical support for robotic inspection of natural gas pipelines, electric grid stability, and ultrasonic inspection of underground steam pipes.As a Senior Engineer at Foster-Miller, Inc., Dr. Everson won several SBIR programs and was the Principal Investigator (PI) for them. These programs included a Phase I program from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and a Phase I project from the Air Force to design and computer model micro electrical mechanical sensors (MEMS) for gas turbine engines. Northeastern University and Cornell University were subcontractors for these programs. He was the PI for Phase I and II contracts from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the development and evaluation of a collision warning system for inner-city transit buses. He received a Tibbett’s award for this Phase II program. Dr. Everson was the PI for Phase I and II SBIR programs (U.S. DOT) to design and laboratory test a friction sensor for vehicular collision warning systems.
