I spent the summer of 2024 researching the effects of antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) treatment on murine and iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes to evaluate the potential of a treatment for a rare, genetic cardiovascular disorder. I worked with Multi Channel Systems multielectrode arrays (MEAs) to measure the electrophysiological effects of the therapy. My work helped develop a program with the ultimate goal of developing a drug capable of restoring the quality of life of patients diagnosed with this condition.

The Antaki Lab at Cornell University focuses on developing blood-wetted medical devices. I'm responsible for performing an in-vitro study of thrombosis buildup in PediaFlow, a magnetically levitated impeller-based ventricular assist device (VAD), in a closed blood loop over an extended duration.

CUAUV designs and builds a fully autonomous submarine each year to compete in the RoboSub international autonomous underwater vehicle competition.
