I find the work rewarding because drug development provides many opportunities to innovate and learn new science.Following a 20 year career as a veterinarian and practice owner I served as an adjunct professor in anatomy and physiology at UC Davis during my graduate studies in pharmacology and toxicology. After joining Lilly's animal health division I again served as an adjunct professor for advanced human physiology at Ivy Tech. At Elanco I served as a subject matter expert in toxicology, my most recent focus human food safety for food animal drugs. I have extensive experience in drug development, target animal safety, pre-clinical toxicology and risk assessment for excipients and impurities.
