The teaching and learning of history is something that for me is not simply for a salary. It is a passion of mine. I have been a very proud teacher of all fields of history at the high school level since 2008 at Henry Ford Academy in Dearborn, Michigan. When I'm not in my classroom, I can be found on the base ball field in Greenfield Village as a member of the Henry Ford's Historic Base Ball Program. I love to not only play a game I enjoy but to show kids how the game evolved and was played. I earned my Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Eastern Michigan University in 2007 and 2015, respectively. On a local level, I served the city of Westland Michigan as a member of it's Historic Commission with stints as Vice-President (2017-2019) and President (2012-2017). Throughout my career I have worked with Past Perfect, Microsoft Office, and Google Platforms along with a whole host of programs designed for history teachers such as the USC Shoah Foundation, Echoes and Reflections, TeachRock, and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
