Currently a member of the Analytical Sciences team in Parker's Central Engineering group solving challenging problems across the company. I use various methods from 1D dynamic simulations to full 3D CFD simulations to model pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.

Worked as part of Meggitt's central engineering team both as an analyst and as the manager of the US branch of the team. I also continued to lead the company's Analysis Community of Practice connecting analysts across the company and aiding in knowledge transfer between sites.In this role I worked with sites across the business to solve challenging problems using my expertise in fluid flow and heat transfer to develop a range of analytical models. I utilized tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Simulink, and Simscapeto aid in all parts of the product lifecycle ranging from R&D activities to solving in-service issues. Through my work I developed multiple standard practices and engineering procedures for the team.

In this role I assisted in the assessing and setting the roadmap for research and development within the company. I also assisted in internally advertising and bringing awareness to novel technologies being developed.

Researched and developed new product technology, assisted in product improvements/optimization through analysis and computational fluid dynamics simulations, and developed a business-wide center of excellence in analysis and simulation. My major technical contribution during this period was the development of 1D and CFD tools for analyzing and sizing ducted heat exchanger systems leading to multiple business opportunities and two patent applications (one granted, one under review).I transferred from working on-site to fully remote in September 2019.

Developed a software tool in Python to gather sales data to forecast aftermarket sales and generate reports.

Developed a Simulink model to analyze control strategies for anti-ice and de-ice of composite wings with embedded electro-thermal heater elements and assisted in the qualification test plans and test reports for polymer seals.

Worked on several developmental products related to water mist fire suppression ranging from nozzle design to water mist measurement systems for product certification. My major contribution was researching, designing, building, and testing a water droplet measurement system for water mist fire suppression systems.

Developed a Simulink model for analyzing the dynamic response of our thermal management systems and assisted in wind tunnel testing, data analysis, modeling, and simulation for the ducting of a ram air turbine.

Investigated the effect of a particular bio-mimetic roughness on a fully developed turbulent boundary layer in the lab of Prof. Haecheon Choi under an EAPSI fellowship granted by the NSF.

Worked in the math and computer science department to gather usage statistics on the TeraGrid supercomputing network for resource optimization as part of the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) Program.
