My main duties are to undertake and sustain a broad but pivotal role with corporate partners in the proposed delivery of a comprehensive range of construction projects.

I lead a strategic team to deliver successful projects across the Council including provision ofguidance and support, research, performance management and other cross cutting areas ofwork i.e.:- This requires me to maintain a command of the current Major Project Programme in terms of its overall management and co-ordination which includes, Maintain a Major Projects Programme “master schedule” to inform the internal reporting meetings, identify key issues and challenges where appropriate:i. Finance Reviewii. Joint Cabinet Memberiii. Leaders Major Projects Review Groupiv. Major Projects Officers Support Groupv. Add items as required to SMB Forward Plan in readiness for relevant meeting.

Responsibility for managing the delivery of both Revenue & Educational Planned Maintenance programmes, including small and large scale Capital & Revenue construction projects for the Council.Play the lead client role for construction works being carried out in association with Revenue & Educational Planned Maintenance programmes including to manage, plan, resource and deliver.

I manage and procure a portfolio of construction projects through the commissioning of consultants and contractors with full cost control of an allocated section of the Council's approved capital & revenue programmes taking the lead role in team co-oridination and client liaison

I provided a building surveying / project management service that delivered a freindly, fair, efficient and professional practice which was capable of development for the clients to achieve Best Value.

I was involved and responsible for making sure that services provided to tenants and other service users were welcoming to all and able to understand as well as ensuring that public buildings, schools, leisure complexes, corporate offices, and the housing stock were kept in good repair.
