Position: Shipment Controller – Seafreight International and DomesticCompany: Wide Wide World Express Corporation (formerly DHL Philippines Inc)Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities:  Provides full support to nationwide Seafreight Manager. Ensures timely replies to branches' request for quotations made in collaboration with the Pricing Department. Documentation and monitoring of rates and agency contracts established by the nationwide Seafreight Manager. Ensures booking and cargo space availability for seafreight shipments (International and Domestic). Communicates to the relevant managers any increase imposed by the providers Checks accuracy of billings of local and international shipping lines, consolidators, and brokers. Communicates and updates with the branch of status of their incoming and outgoing seafreight shipments. Coordinates with branches, Operations and Gateway seafreight shipment to ensure loading in shipping lines and delivery to final destination, given due consideration to cost and timeliness. Monitors shipment while in-transit until it finally reaches its final destination. Handles customs processing of shipment on a case to case basis. Communicates with the overseas agents (rate inquiry, pick-up and delivery, shipping schedules, and etc.) Computes import duties and taxes as required by the client. Acts as records custodian and quality work place officer as part of ISO 9001:2008
