I counsel clients on all aspects of intellectual property as well as provide advice in connection with technology transactions. Over the years I have been involved in the drafting, negotiating and conducting of due diligence related to the Intellectual Property and Information Technology aspects of corporate, financial restructuring, real estate, structured finance and insurance transactions. I also regularly advise clients on data privacy, cybersecurity and technology matters, including data licensing, cloud services and outsourcing issues. My work has been across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on financial products and systems and the advertising sector. I have also helped clients protect their core business technologies by developing effective patent portfolios structured with consideration to competitors’ activities and intellectual property protection.Additional areas of focus include guiding clients on a range of issues related to websites, including domain name resolutions, the use of open-source software, as well as trademark, counterfeiting and copyright related issues.I am a registered patent attorney and have been designated as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
