Responsibilities are primarily production support, fixture design, and injection molding process development.The manufacturing engineering responsibilities cover a wide range of processes, including wire and cable processing, wire termination, heat staking, electrical assemblies, production machining, lamination, electrical encapsulation and injection molding. Production support for these processes includes first time build troubleshooting and work instruction development, and often diagnosing and repairing machinery. Process molding engineering is primarily developing new processes on various injection molding and overmolding machines ranging from 22 ton up to 240 ton machines. It also includes advising customers, design engineers and mold makers/machinists on material selection and suggested improvements, and Moldflow analysis of new and existing parts to increase quality and decrease cycle time.

-Worked with NDT operators to determine control limits for both CT and ultrasonic inspection of 3D woven carbon fiber parts. -Developed and implemented an SPC system for each individual process and part. -Proficient in basic CT and ultrasonic NDT inspection methods.

-Primarily operated aluminum die casting machines, monitoring mold and metal temperatures to optimize production rates while maintaining quality. -Used vibratory finishing machines and milling centers to bring parts from as-cast to finished goods.
