The Digital Innovator program is a two-year program for young professionals. During this program, I work within corporate innovation teams to make sure they are able to execute and accelerate. I'm trained and coached in a wide range of (digital) innovation skills, creative leadership, personal development, and future technologies.

As part of my project at Purina, I had the opportunity to dive deep into the customer journey of both pre-pet owners and pet owners. To do so, I did extensive desk research with the team to list the pain points.These pain points were condensed by identifying "catalyst moments" to uncover the core pains that would be addressed in further (online) experiments.I co-facilitated an assumption mapping workshop to map the riskiest assumptions around the identified core pains and conducted a series of online experiments through Facebook and Google Ads. This also included (ad) copywriting, creating several surveys and designing several landing pages to further (in)validate the core pains.Using the validated core pains, multiple in-depth interviews were conducted with pre-pet owners and pet owners to understand their needs, behaviors and motivations. By combining the quantitative data with the qualitative insights, four distinct mindsets were created by applying mindset segmentation. This ultimately led to the development of an initial solution approach, which we tested through additional online advertising and by determining which mindsets could potentially be early adopters.

After I had finished my internship at the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions, I moved to Cologne to gather some further international work experience.At Osho's Place, I had the opportunity to directly put newly acquired theory of the German language into practice. Furthermore, I took on the responsibility to provide excellent guest service to our visitors, all whilst following recipes and standard procedures. However, for me, it did not stop at just following procedures and recipes, as I felt a personal responsibility to provide our guests with the best experience possible. During my work at Osho's Place, I always made sure to deliver service with a smile and I learned to think in possibilities when facing a problem. Also, I have faced several situations, in which I had to work under pressure and learned how to be even more comfortable delegating and coordinating tasks during my shifts.

I started my internship at the Belgian office of the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions in Brussels, as a part of my International Tourism Management bachelor study. In February 2019 I moved to Brussels in order to build up international work experience.At the NBTC I assisted in formulating and implementing marketing and communication plans for various regions in the Netherlands. The marketing and communication plans were devised according to NBTC’s strategy to combat overtourism on the one hand, but also to create more awareness for the lesser-known areas in the Netherlands.I have had the pleasure to support my colleagues of the marketing department in marketing areas in the Netherlands that would otherwise be unknown to international visitors by setting up online and offline campaigns, for the summer and winter of 2019. Furthermore, I supported my colleagues with the creation of press releases, newsletters, I personally guided influencer tours and directed campaign videos for Belgium, Germany & the United Kingdom and I was in direct contact with the partnering regions and provinces for the campaign. Upon completion of the parts of the marketing campaign, I created reports for each partner region, with the performance of social media and visits on their page on holland.com.

As a senior employee of Julia's, I fulfilled various tasks and I made sure to follow protocols and guidelines. Additionally, I actively took on the responsibility to steer and motivate newly hired team members, as well as the more seasoned colleagues, when required. I performed checkout operations, in which I actively listened to the customers, in order to make recommendations for the purpose of upselling and cross-selling. I ensured that the establishment was always restocked and kept track of the inventory.

During my time with the Student Council of the International Tourism Management program at NHL Stenden University, I was responsible for devising a marketing strategy for the StuRa Winterball. Both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the StuRa Winterball sold out, selling over 1000 tickets for the event, through active promotion and targetting. Additionally, I took on the responsibility for the graphic design of various visuals, such as flyers, posters, and banners. All of which I designed with the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator;Other responsibilities included:Photography during weekly organized workshops and events organized by StuRa ITM and post-processing of images;Updating and maintaining the Online Learning Environment, (Blackboard) page of StuRa Tourism Management;Information sharing during weekly meetings with all departments of the StuRa ITM team.
