After a career in information technology as an architect, project manager, and strategic consultant, I followed my passion for marketing and digital media into non-profit marketing and communications. I built on a volunteer role as communications director for a county political party and paid roles as a campaign manager into a position as Director of Marketing and Communication for United Way of Delaware, one of the largest non-profit organizations in Delaware and one of only two statewide United Way organizations in the US.As Director of Marketing and Communication, I develop marketing plans and campaigns for United Way of Delaware, Delaware 211 (statewide resource center hotline), Stand By Me Delaware (free and confidential financial coaching), and Delaware After School Network (DEAN) (providing after school and vacation programming for children). I write speeches and letters for our CEO, blog posts, and most press releases. I recently wrote and implemented a marketing plan for our Stand By Me FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Campaign, leveraging a $20,000 budget that was part of a grant to ensure all Delaware high school graduates completed their FAFSA. The campaign included digital social media ads, print ads, radio and Spotify ads in English and Spanish, website banner ads, and public transit shelter posters. I’ve been able to use my strategic technology consulting experience to advise and help guide our team in our search for a new CRM and Marketing platform.I am an experienced Information Technology (IT) program and project manager with over 20 years of expertise in delivering complex information system projects.
