Executed disaster response operations center tasking, assigned vessels jobs based on boat Captain’s ability and experience, trained new boat crews for disaster response, conducted daily maritime safety briefs and inspections on vessels, and ensured each vessel was properly supplied to complete assigned task. Filed daily disaster response reports, consolidated disaster response data collection, provided quality control of disaster response data, briefed daily TF 9 disaster response activities to Deep Horizon disaster response command center on scene coordinator, provided on scene coordinator maritime resources and expertise to facilitate disaster response objectives. Led TF-09 de-mobilization effort and provided appropriate transition of TF-09 disaster response responsibilities to state and local governments and agencies.

Port State Control Watch Stander. Responsible for vetting all notice of arrivals to ensure arriving and departing commercial vessels were in compliance with federal requirements regarding timeliness of submissions, verification of owner and operator information, identification of prior ports of call and carriage of hazardous cargoes. Liaison with Customs and Boarder Protection to screen crewmember nationalities in order to determine vessel security requirements. Conducted extensive vessel history review to determine appropriate level of Coast Guard boarding team composition. Foreign Freight Vessel Inspector. Led boarding teams to verify commercial vessel compliance with international safety and security requirements, verified vessel documentation, verified crewmember manning and training, reviewed safety management and operating systems, and ensured proper operations of ship navigation, communication and machinery systems. Marine Facility Inspector. Conducted waterfront marine facility inspections for compliance with environmental and security regulations. Functioned as team member to implement alternate compliance program and self streamlined inspection program requirements as well as international safety management systems. Student Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer School Prep. Served as line crew department team member to transition aircraft to flight line, fuel aircraft, conduct fuel sample analysis, and assist aircraft commanders during start procedures. Assisted in training missions for Air Crew to perform Swimmer hoist operations, Search and Rescue Operations . Worked on performance qualifications to be accepted into Rescue Swimmer School.
