Developed the mobile app "Kryptotag" which makes it easy to send bitcoins. To send bitcoins to someone else you need their public address which looks like this: 1G6osMLCT4zkUuh9CFtH8vxRzsGBtVAmeu. To avoid needing to type that out the best solution has been to turn the public address into a QR code which can be scanned by a mobile app that can send the bitcoins. However, QR codes are not ideal in many situations such as on television or on the radio. My goal with Kryptotag was to replace the public address with an alphanumeric word/phrase. For example, with Kryptotag I can associate my name, "Jeffrey", with the public address I use. The app I built allows anyone to look "Jeffrey" up and then immediately send the bitcoin. Nobody has to look up my public address or go online to find the QR code - they just have to remember to send it to "Jeffrey".

I interned at WHV Investment Management where I worked with the marketing team to create, proof, and distribute marketing materials for a range of mutual funds. I gained experience using both FactSet and Satuit in addition to learning valuable information about how the finance industry works. I was also able to learn some baisic financial mathematics and saw various ways in which investment returns are calculated and presented.
