As a senior manager in EY's FAAS practice, I have supported clients in the following capacities:1. Assisted with the preparation of SEC-compliant, carve-out financial statements for business units that were being (a) divested by their parent companies and (b) purchased by either private equity firms or another operating company. These engagements have included assisting with (i) the development of carve-out financial statements (i.e., balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flows, and statements of net parent investment) for the target companies and (ii) the preparation of footnotes to the financial statements;2. Assisted with the preparation of a 144A filing, associated with a debt offering to institutional investors. This engagement included providing significant guidance, support and drafting assistance related to the preparation of MD&A;3. Led an IPO Readiness diagnostic engagement, which included identifying and analyzing key initiatives that the client should implement prior to or in connection with its planned IPO.4. Served as a technical accounting resource for client management teams, primarily providing assistance with (a) the interpretation of authoritative accounting literature and (b) the resolution of complex accounting matters;5. Assisted with the preparation of technical accounting memos that support the accounting conclusions reached by client management teams with respect to complex accounting matters;6. Provided guidance with respect to SEC reporting requirements, including the application of Regulation S-X and Regulation S-K;7. Led periodic training sessions related to US GAAP and SEC reporting related matters.In addition, I am significantly involved with the development of FAAS's go-to-market approach for IPO Readiness services in EY's Northeast region, as well as the Transaction solution group offerings in the Greater Washington region.

As an accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance, my day-to-day tasks were a part of the division's review and comment letter issuance process. I reviewed periodic reports and registration statements of companies that operated in industries related to transportation and leisure -- including, defense contractors, airlines, railroads, automobile part manufacturers, shipping companies, restaurants, and publishers. The primary purpose of my reviews was to identify material deficiencies in companies' disclosure, potential misapplications of generally accepted accounting principles, and potential non-compliance with SEC reporting requirements. During my tenure with the SEC, I identified various accounting and disclosure matters and issued accounting comment letters that resulted in or contributed to (A) the restatement of companies' financial statements, (B) the reclassification of items reported within companies' financial statements, (C) the expansion of companies' disclosures related to complex accounting matters -- particularly, when their accounting treatment may have been unclear, yet material to the financial statements, and (D) the enhancement of companies' disclosures in material areas of their filings, such as MD&A and the financial statements. In addition, I was significantly involved with filing reviews in two different industries that ultimately resulted in material improvements to the disclosures provided by companies across the entire industries.

As an associate and senior associate, I provided audit services within the Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment ("TICE") industry group. Within this industry group, my primary audit clients operated in the entertainment and media industries.As a senior associate, my audit responsibilities included leading the day-to-day fieldwork for audit engagements for which I was the lead senior; providing associates with a clear understanding of their respective audit areas, the associated risks, and the design/purpose of various audit test; reviewing the audit work performed associates; and coaching and developing associates.As a senior associate, I was actively involved in revising the audit strategy and enhancing the audit procedures performed on the CBS Television Stations audit engagement.
