Strategic architect, investment advisor and creator of a newly created Talent Solutions Group that combined the former Inscape Publishing business and Pfieffer imprint to create a $35M Workplace Learning Solutions group, then acquired Profiles International (April 2014) and CrossKnowledge (May 2014). Led integration efforts resulting in a $100+M high-growth, SaaS-delivered business with 400+ employees in 6 locations.

Complete responsibility for a leading supplier of classroom and electronic training materials for the corporate training market. Inscape was acquired by the Riverside Company, a New York-based private equity firm in a leveraged buyout. I was hired to develop and implement a turnaround strategy for the business that shareholders demanded after 18 months of declining revenue and profitability. Interventions focused on rebuilding a value-added reseller network and included investing in new software delivery systems, repackaging and simplifying the product offering, creating a new brand image and associated marketing tools, and re-developing dealer education and dealer management systems.In April, 2003 Inscape completed the acquisition of Discover Holding a/s, a Danishtraining company to serve as a platform for expanding our reach internationally. Inscape Publishing, Inc. was acquired by Sentinel Capital Partners in August, 2007. I continued as CEO.In May, 2009 Inscape completed the acquisition of discprofile.com, an ecommercereseller of Inscape products to the corporate market.In February 2012, Inscape was acquired by John Wiley and Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa, JWb).

Complete P&L and operating responsibility for a start-up Internet infrastructure business creating Interactive Product Visualization systems for e-commerce. Personally created business strategy and financial plans. Led design and implementation of major business processes. Twenty-five employees.

Complete P&L and operating responsibility for a rapidly growing, global IT testing and training services business. Four international operating offices, 140 employees worldwide. My role was to stabilize business processes, add interface management to the parent company and strengthen the acquired organization after the post-acquisition departure of the founding partners. Business development activities included creating new relationships with professional certification groups as a diversification strategy.

Complete P & L responsibility for a newly created $38M division of a publicly traded corporation. Two hundred employees, two locations, 12 direct reports. This unit was created through the acquisition of McGraw Hill / London House by National Computer Systems. I was responsible for acquisition evaluation, due diligence, purchase agreement negotiation, integration planning, and merger activities. As the senior operating officer of this new business I was responsible for leading the vision and strategy of the enterprise, as well as ensuring the achievement of financial objectives.
