PA Power Wrestling strives to provide the most comprehensive and informative wrestling coverage for our high school wrestlers.Pennsylvania consistently breeds some of the most successful wrestlers on a National and International level year in and year out. These are some of the hardest working, most dedicated athletes in the nation. They deserve an equal amount of dedication and determination when it comes to providing current, plentiful, and positive coverage of our sport and their accomplishments.With that, PA Power Wrestling's mission is to respect, to promote, and to expand the sport of wrestling in Pennsylvania and across the United States.

While completing a MA Degree, I worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Greenwich, assisting a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics. Our work consisted of researching current measures of 'well-being' across nations and attempting to evaluate recent alternatives to GDP such as Fair Allocation Theory, Subjective Well-Being Theory and the Capabilities Approach. My specific job duties included analysing and summarizing related journal articles for research in addition to verbally explaining articles and their possible relevance to our study. I also completed tasks such as filing, sorting data and miscellaneous office duties.

At the United Methodist Home for Children (UMHC) I worked as a 'Child Care Worker' responsible for the supervision of delinquent/troubled youth who were placed full-time in Residential Care by their specific County within Pennsylvania. I had required training in First Aid, Fire Safety, De-escalation Techniques, Physical Restraints and Driving Safety. During normal shifts, I was responsible for the safety of numerous children, ages 8-18, engaging them in activities, such as sports and reading. I transported children to school and after school activities, doctor appointments, drug treatment, etc. As part of the program, every child was required to attend 'equine therapy' in which they worked with horses; I was required to supervise them during these sessions. I also had to adhere to Pennsylvania Department of Welfare (DPW) regulations strictly.

In my senior year at West Virginia University, I worked at the Student Communication Centre as a Student Counsellor. My job duties included recruiting high school students across the United States to apply and eventually attend WVU. I would call prospective students and their parents to answer any questions they may have about WVU and encourage them to apply. Once accepted, we contacted the students to encourage enrolling. We targeted top tier students who scored in a higher percentile on their ACT's or SAT's. On certain occasions I was required to attend recruitments events, such as one in Pittsburgh, PA at PNC Park, and on- campus events to answer student and/or parent questions on various topics around WVU and college life in general. I also served on a student panel where again, during visitation days, a panel of students would answer questions from parents and/or students.

While attending West Virginia University, I completed four semesters of an unpaid (earned college credits) internship with the local County Prosecutors Office in the Victim/Witness Assistance Program (VWAP). My job duties included assisting victims of crimes through the legal system, i.e. explaining procedures to them, how to apply and be granted restitution, attending court proceedings such as plea and sentencing hearings, and being a point of contact between victims and the assigned prosecutor. Normal days included answering the phone, attending court to document proceedings and, if present, assist victims, filing cases, tracking down victim information and file contempt’s on defendants who owed restitution. I was not required to testify before the Court, however, I had to be familiar with the legal process and present Victim Impact Statements to the presiding judge.
