As a student analyst, I worked with the UC Davis Office of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability to complete an application for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) STARS program, a framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. I was responsible for gathering qualitative and quantitative data regarding the campus' sustainability and environmental initiatives. UC Davis' submission that year earned a 98 out of 99 sustainability score from AASHE.

Green Team America (GTA) is an environmental advocacy group powered by youth that strives to unite students in a green crusade that can achieve dramatic and measurable results. I founded the first chapter of Green Team America in California. Responsibilities include: Assembling an advisory board consisting of environmental educators, local government, and a TV personality; addressed crowds of up to 300 people at various events and conferences to promote GTA and other environmental initiatives; persuaded local businesses and organizations to fund projects through networking; Organized several community events, including Project STOPP (Students To Oppose Plastic Pollution) in which we encouraged over 400 shoppers at a farmer's market to stop using plastic bags.
