There is so much to do and so many opportunities there. I am seen as an ally across the country and could be a great connector for corporations pursuing reconciliation, government departments and agencies included.My last several years working with Indigenous leaders, you and elders in communities across the country has been incredibly rewarding and I wish to see that continue. this includes 15 years as a volunteer in the far north with Project North (www.projectnorth.ca). I have witnessed the needs first and and see opportunities to make a difference. With the corporate sector and government waking up to TRC and Reconciliation, there is a role for me as a facilitator and relationship builder to continue being an ally for Indigenous, Metis, and Inuit people. Be it 5% plus procurement spending commitments, Aboriginal Business Plans or Reconciliation Action Plans, there is lots to be done and lots to learn and share.Further to those experiences above, I am a senior executive with expertise in leadership, relationship building, business development and philanthropy. Accomplished, providing guidance in corporate partnership initiatives, strategic planning and ongoing client/donor relations, retention and sustainability.A seasoned and experienced board member, provides insight for innovative revenue generation engagement and fulfillment offering a unique perspective from the Not and For Profit sectors.Very proud to have played a significant role in the establishment of National Kindness Week in Canada with Rabbi Reuven Bulka and Senator Jim Munson. After success in the Senate the bill received unanimous support in the House of Commons. In February 2022 we will celebrate this milestone for the first time.
