Ever since my early years in high school, I knew that I wanted to do something in the sciences. As a child, I never wanted to watch cartoons like most other kids. I wanted to watch shows like "How It's Made" and "Extreme Engineering." I was amazed to learn that many different parts can come together and make a working mechanism. In my sophomore year at Waconia High School, I took a design engineering class that I loved, and it sparked my interest in pursuing an engineering degree. Throughout my education so far, the pursuance of knowledge has always been my number one goal. My pursuit of knowledge brought me to the University of St. Thomas to seek a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At St. Thomas, many more resources allow me to satisfy my curiosity developed when I was a child. After my freshman year, I was lucky to receive an internship offer at Quartisis LLC, a precision manufacturing shop. I worked full time for an entire summer and continue working there. I learned countless things about the industry ranging from engineering/manufacturing to business. One of the most important things I learned was the importance of efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality.I am so excited to see where engineering takes me. There is certainly more to learn, more problems to solve, and more to build. And for this, I am very thankful.
