Produce state and national conferences and provide consulting services on grant funding, program evaluation, strategic planning, revenue maximization, governmental relations and organizational effectiveness. Major accoplishements in this role include development of the Missouri Catalog of State Assistance Programs, multiple Missouri State Grants Summits. I also produced multiple state grant conferences and created programs such as The Missouri Governmental Affairs and Advocacy Summit, the Missouri Performance-Based Budgeting Summit, Performance-Based Contracting Summit, and the Show-Me the Measures Summit. Consulting customers and/or national speaking contracts have included Justice Systems, CISCO Systems, and working with the National Center for State Courts and the Performance Institute on several national events and webinars.

Responsible for the management and administration of Homeland Security Grants and Training for the State of Missouri

Responsible for identifying, developing and managing revenue-generating activities for the statewide association which represents Missouri's 19 community action regional agencies serving all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis and the some 3,000 employees of the Missouri Community Action network. Work to help create funding solutions and resources to address the 5 key elements of poverty: 1) Food; 2) Health; 3) Education; 4) Energy & Housing; and 5) Family & Economic Security. To be an effective advocate in policy and program development which impacts low-income families and to strengthen the capacity of Missouri’s 19 Community Action Agencies. Responsible for expanding the Community Action Network in Size and Scope. Conduct training for the statewide efforts as needed and represent MACA at meetings, coalitions, task forces and staff the Resource Development Professional Alliance for MACA.

Serve the Public Sector leadership team as their national grant funding solutions expert. Create and deliver presentations and workshops on grants for national, regional and state organizations such as the American Telemedicine Association, the United State Distance Learning Association and others. Lead business development and support demand generation activities for the public sector sales organization using grants in government, education and medical vertical markets. Manage the outsourcing of the Polycom Grants Assistance Program staff and supervise the new contractor team supporting customers with grant identification, application and administration. Review and develop sales forecasts for grant related projects. Develop grant related materials for both internal sales support and for customer facing needs. Support high touch customers with independent grant consultations, project management support and program development activities. Supervise grant contractors being sponsored on behalf of customers to write grants. Provide grant quality assurance reviews of contractor created materials and support customers with post-award issued related to federal fiscal administrative requirements.

I worked with our customers in the Government, Education and Medical (GEM) vertical markets to assist them with the identification, application and administration of private and government grants that can include our distance learning, telemedicine, governmental efficiency solutions for unified communications. I primarily assist customers in my central and southeast region that includes Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. We also provide free consulting and grant training in addition to providing free grant contractors to assist in writing grants for our customers. Supervise fiscal, budget, procurement, contracts, fiscal notes and grants staff for the oversight of $180 million annual budget for the Missouri Judiciary. Support and testify before the legislature and boards, committees and commissions of the Missouri Judiciary. Supervise Operations staff and fleet management and oversee administration of organizational special projects and organization development surveys and focus groups.

Support the identification, application and administration of internal and external funding projects (average of $7 million annually with over $80 million) during my tenure in this role.

Worked with constituents of the 9th Congressional District of Missouri to help them navigate and eliminate the red tape of government. Ad hoc research and attended events with the Congressman.

Supported 76 state representatives with legislative research, drafting legislation and amendments, state agency budget reviews, created caucus position papers and press releases and supported ombudsman role with state agencies on behalf of difficult constituent cases. Major accomplishments in this position included the identification and realignment of over $60 million in funding, cutting wasteful spending and supporting meaningful legislative initiatives and tax reforms.

Prepared and track all department expenditures and tracked monthly expenditures and caseloads on a monthly basis. Donducted research and developed program reports. Coordianted the tracking and transfer of governor's reserves. Reviewed proposed legislation and coordianted department fiscal note development across department divisions for proposed legislation. Tracked over $3.8 billion in annual appropriations.
