His major in Chemistry at Emory University in Atlanta included graduate studies in International Healthcare Delivery Systems in London. He then received his medical doctorate from the University of Miami, thereafter specializing in anesthesiology including fellowship training in pain management and addictionology. His successes in private practice personally caring for over 70,000 patients led to his selection into “America’s Top Anesthesiologists” and has distinguished Dr. Block’s clinical career. Dr. Block is a distinguished Professor of Anesthesiology and medical education lecturer. Dr. Block furthers the study of International public healthcare systems by addressing efficiency and safety issues through the translational research of botanical medicines. His horticultural expertise specializes in water quality issues, and includes plant propagation and chemical analyses. His working knowledge of tropical ornamental plant breeding has a generational following of plant enthusiast fond of aroids, begonias, and bromeliads cultivars.
