The scope of my role expanded in these categories over the years. I was also appointed to lead the due diligence and integration teams during the acquisition of IPC competitor, Westcom Corporation. Here are some success stories:Carrier Relations & Cost of Access: I developed and executed a strategic plan to establish advantageous supplier relationships, secure competitive supplier purchasing terms, organize tech summits and implement cost efficiency initiatives. This included successful execution of a 12-month integration plan which included transport backbone migration, major-client site facility reviews and optimization and removal of $2.2M in redundant costs annually. Pre-Integration & Due Diligence Team: I constructed the execution plan for a global supplier consolidation initiative and spearheaded an integration team focused on synergy savings plan which was set up during a due diligence review of global supplier relationships and agreements. I made recommendations to maximize positive synergies for US and EMEA and set the strategy for post-acquisition execution in the Americas. Implementation for the Americas: Through my team of 15 direct/ indirect reports, I was successful in negotiating a 2-year, $5M supplier contract with MCI while achieving an overall rate reduction of 30% on products. My team migrated 2,000+ private lines from Verizon retail to Verizon wholesale in under 120 days, resulting in a net 35% rate reduction across-the-board, equivalent to $1.5M annualized return. I also introduced process modifications for the Americas provisioning team to improve on-net order handling from 25 days to under 1 day average with 75% of all on-net orders meeting this interval. The process was adopted at the enterprise level. -

An accomplishment I’m most proud of involved leading our core network platform migration which increased core switching capacity tenfold while reducing our per port cost by a factor of ten. Madge.web was then purchased by GAINS International in 2001.
