Trained and technically supported over 1500 Soldiers for the Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery Captain’s Career Courses, Warrant Officer Basic and Advance Courses, Air Defense Artillery Advanced and Senior Leader’s Courses as well as the Field Artillery Master Gunner’s Course to include simulations. Supported over 700 training events. Briefed several American and Foreign Dignitaries, VIPs, Student groups, and Fort Sill personnel. Maintained accountability of all assigned equipment valued in excess of $1,000,000.

Led personnel throughout the Iraqi Theatre of Operations. Provided Security for personnel, equipment and Air Assets. Successfully and safely escorted over 90 convoy missions which secured over 8,816,060 liters of benzene and 2, 833,180 kilograms of propane during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Trained personnel to fulfill missions that are non-traditional roles of the Air Defense Artillery while in combat operations. Selected as the 101st Airborne Soldier of the Quarter in 2002. Selected to cultivate an Air Assault School training program. The program resulted in a 100% Air Assault School graduation rate. Led his team to a second place finish out of 64 teams in a Battalion Top Crew Competition in 2002.Prepared, operated, maintained, and fired the Avenger and Man-portable Air Defense System (STINGER). Established and maintained radio and wire communications. Performed target engagement evaluation. Applied Infrared techniques to detect and engage targets. Operated identification, friend or foe programmer/charger. Resupplied ammunition and prepared systems for firing. Performed emergency procedures for weapons systems. Maintained sight alignment on systems. Operates and maintains system carriers. Collected and consolidated intelligence information. Processed special and periodic reports. Prepared and maintains situation map. Transmitted intelligence and grid locations of incoming targets. Designated fighting positions. Alerted firing batteries. Transmitted alert status and readiness changes. Placed first out of approximately 24 crews in a Stinger Top Crew competition.
