Hi! My name is Jeffrey, and I am a Junior at Binghamton University's School of Management studying Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS). I am interested in pursuing a career as a tax accountant as I enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and the fast-paced work environment.This past summer, I had the opportunity to join Grant Thornton LLP's Talent Exploration Program as a Tax Intern. There, I mainly worked with IRC Section 263A in multiple UNICAP Studies for large manufacturers. I gained valuable experience about book-tax differences while preparing various UNICAP Calculation Tools as well as utilizing VLOOKUP and pivot tables when optimizing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel. On-campus, I will be serving as the President of Campus Bible Fellowship, a student-led Christian organization, the Vice President of Professional Activities at Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, and the Student Assistant of the University's Philosophy Department. In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels (currently trying to get into A Song of Ice and Fire), working out, and playing video games.
