DARPA ICAS research project to map unstructured data into a structured ontology using machine-learning and distributed agents for data collection. Goal was to develop a distributed view of a heterogeneous information system so that its structure could be interrogated using a natural language interface. Participated in product architectural design and was responsible for agent mesh networking developing using Python/ZeroMQ, graph fragment similarity matching using RDF, SPARQL query distribution to mesh clients and results merging. The Integrated Cyber Analysis System (ICAS) program aims to make system information readily useful for attack forensics and tactical cyber defense. ICAS will attempt to integrate all sources of network data in a federated database to enable reasoning across the enterprise.

Effort focused on applying information theory to genomic structure. Worked with research scientists to analyze primary genomic structure and developed vector embeddings and vector search algorithm for detecting similar sub-regions based on a selected reference region. Product could successfully identify regions and rank based on similarity. Product was used for identifying possible new drugs by selecting a known active region of a common drug and searching a database of unknown compounds for similar regions. Was responsible for managing the design and implementation of the product, in Java, from concept to completion.
