I love the experience I've had in successful companies and unsuccessful ones. Each was an opportunity to learn what to do or what not to do. Even running a company myself, with its ups and downs, still makes me excited to get up and go every morning. Don't get me wrong, my family gives me that feeling too (had to throw that in there) but there is something about helping other people that's so very rewarding. Especially when that light bulb goes off and they "get it," they knew it before, but now they get it. Want to talk, ask questions, or get perspective? Business has its obstacles, just like obstacle course racing. Some of it seems daunting and difficult to overcome, even to the point that you can't get by without the help from someone else. In every race I've ever been in, people were willing to lend a hand to help others get other those obstacles. To mitigate the risk involved so others could pass safely. It is done without the thought, just a natural part of who we are. Helping individuals and companies understand and overcome obstacles in career path and Business/Human Resources is what I enjoy doing; when I'm not out on the course with my muddy obstacle family. Lending a helping hand, helping find the right path, mitigating risks, and keeping the company or individual focused on the end goal is all a part of what I do.
