Political Advisor to Pacific Partnership Mission Commander (2008). Delivered expert policy and communications advice during Pacific Partnership 2008 humanitarian assistance mission to Timor-Leste. ♦ Ankara, Turkey. Director for Domestic Political Analysis (2006 to 2009). Managed Embassy’s domestic political analysis and programs. Led teams of officers in preparing cutting-edge programs and itineraries for visits of President Obama and Secretary Clinton to Turkey that emphasized the importance of transparency, tolerance, and respect for human rights. ♦ Baghdad, Iraq. Special Assistant to the Charge d’Affaires (2004 to 2005). Managed dozens of offices and hundreds of individuals in efforts to establish America’s largest diplomatic mission with a $1 billion budget and thousands of employees.
