Dr Jeffrey Wilson is Ai Group's Director of Research and Economics. He leads Ai Group's economics team, and provides strategic direction in developing the research program to support its advocacy, service delivery and policy activities. Jeffrey specialises in international economic policy, with a focus on how trade and investment shape the Australian industrial and business environment. He was previously the Research Director at the Perth USAsia Centre, and an Associate Professor in International Political Economy at the School of Business and Governance at Murdoch University.Jeffrey has particular expertise in Australia's trade and investment ties with Asia. He has been closely engaged with business government on many of Australia's economic engagement with the Indo-Pacific, including RCEP, the CPTPP, and many bilateral trade agreements. He has contributed to Commonwealth and state economic strategy development with Indo-Pacific partners; as well as industry development programs for the critical minerals, batteries and defence sectors.
