Over the past 20+ years, I have been, not just an observer, but an active leader in health care compliance, holding key roles from a myriad of perspectives. First, I served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Louisiana Department of Justice prosecuting health care fraud. I subsequently worked as the Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Counsel for Amedisys Inc., one of the nation’s largest publicly-traded home health and hospice companies. Thereafter, I worked as Special Counsel in the Health Care Practice for Jones Walker, LLP. Today, I am the General Counsel and CCO for Adroit Health Group, LLC providing general legal oversight and leadership for one of the nation's leading provider of non-major medical medical health insurance products.I am able to leverage my unique experience from both a law enforcement and a business executive perspective to help clients understand the meaning, scope, and breadth of health care laws, as well how these laws can be practically and optimally operationalized to yield success.
