I have worked in the technology industry for over 10 years specializing in data management. In that time, I have developed an interest in information. Information is a fascinating subject. Most of the time we are not even aware of its impact on the daily activities of everyday living. When it is missing or misunderstood, then the true value of its existence becomes very apparent. This is what interests me about data and its influence on people, technology and the processes that create it, use it, and store it.Whenever possible, I like to talk to people about data governance and data management through various training workshops, lectures and trade conferences. I especially like to talk about the convergence of data governance and data management through the practical application of data governance polices with data management activities. I have written articles for The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN) and provided technical consultation for books on metadata and modeling.I am currently an Information Systems Architect at Sandhill consultants.
